The Alan Parsons Project
Pyramid
The album is a concept piece centered on the pyramids of Giza. It was written and recorded during a period of intense public fascination with "pyramid power"—the belief that pyramid shapes possessed mystical or supernatural properties.
Lyrically, the album explores the mystery of ancient structures, human superstition, and the passage of time.
Designed by the legendary studio Hipgnosis, the cover features a man sitting at a desk with a pyramid shape above him, echoing the "pyramid power" craze of the late 1970s.
