A Certain Ratio
Sextet
Sextet is the third studio album by the English post-punk band A Certain Ratio (ACR), released in January 1982 via the legendary Factory Records.
It is widely considered the band's masterpiece, marking a significant shift in their sound as it was their first self-produced effort, moving away from the "gloomy" production of Martin Hannett. The album peaked at No. 1 on the UK Independent Albums Chart.
