1x CD Album Reissue Remastered

Release date: Jan 1, 1970, Canada

Presence is the seventh studio album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, released on March 31, 1976. Produced by guitarist Jimmy Page, the album is noted for its hard-rocking, guitar-driven sound, which resulted from a turbulent and quickly recorded session while singer Robert Plant was recovering from a car accident.

The album features seven tracks. Unlike other Led Zeppelin albums, it contains no keyboards and very little acoustic guitar.

Production and Background
Producer: The album was primarily produced by Jimmy Page, with engineering and mixing handled by Keith Harwood.

Presence was recorded in a whirlwind 18-day session at Musicland Studios in Munich, Germany, during November 1975. The band was under pressure as the Rolling Stones were scheduled to use the studio next.

The recording sessions were difficult because Robert Plant was in a wheelchair, recovering from serious injuries from a car accident he was in earlier that year. This led to Page taking on most of the responsibilities, resulting in a heavier, more guitar-focused sound.
