Santana
Welcome
Released on November 9, 1973, Welcome is the fifth studio album by the Latin rock and jazz-fusion band Santana. It represents a deep dive into spiritual jazz-fusion, following the experimental path of their previous album Caravanserai.
A complex blend of jazz fusion, Latin, and rock with strong spiritual and avant-garde influences.
This was the first album without founding members Gregg Rolie and Neal Schon (who left to form Journey), introducing a more keyboard-heavy sound with Tom Coster and Richard Kermode.
