Ballads Of Broadway / Rhythms Of Broadway
The Rhythms and Ballads of Broadway is a highly acclaimed double album by American pop singer Johnny Mathis, originally released in September 1960 by Columbia Records. It features a collection of classic songs from various Broadway shows.
The double album, sometimes titled simply The Rhythms and Ballads of Broadway, peaked at number six on the Billboard album chart. The original release was a two-LP set housed in a gatefold cover, with sides one and two dedicated to ballads and sides three and four featuring more uptempo, rhythmic numbers.
The two LPs were also released as separate, individual albums in 1960 under the titles Ballads of Broadway and Rhythms of Broadway.
