Make-Up Is a Lie is the title of the 14th solo studio album by English singer Morrissey, officially released on March 6, 2026. This project marks his first new LP in over five years since 2020's I Am Not a Dog on a Chain and signifies a return to Sire Records, the label that originally housed his early solo work and The Smiths' catalogue.

Recorded at Studio La Fabrique in France and produced by Joe Chiccarelli, who has collaborated on Morrissey’s last four officially released albums.

The title is interpreted as an "explicit call for unvarnished truth and expression". Lyrically, the album explores themes of facade, truthfulness, and modern societal frustrations.

The lead single features a "trip-hop-like groove" with propulsive bass and a mysterious atmosphere. Critics have described the overall sound as a mix of jangly guitars, funk, and dance music elements.
