The Rolling Stones
Undercover
Undercover is the 19th American and 17th British studio album by the English rock band the Rolling Stones, released on November 7, 1983. It was their first album of all-new material in the 1980s.
The album was recorded during a period of significant internal conflict and tension within the band, as Jagger and Richards disagreed on the future musical direction. Jagger wanted to adapt to modern music trends, while Richards pushed for a return to the band's blues rock roots. The result was an eclectic collection of songs with lyrics described as among Jagger's most macabre, featuring grisly imagery and political themes (notably in the lead single about Central America)
