Release date: Jan 1, 1970, US

Hurry Up, We're Dreaming is the sixth studio and first double album by the French electronic music band M83, led by Anthony Gonzalez. Released on October 18, 2011, it is widely considered an iconic and influential record in the synth-pop and electronic music genres.

Inspired by albums like the Smashing Pumpkins' Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, Gonzalez intended the double album to be a cinematic journey exploring themes of childhood, dreaming, awakening, and nostalgia. He described the two discs as "brother and sister".

The album's sound is characterized by "giant walls of sound and galaxy-sized crescendos" which blend indie aesthetics with a "blockbuster production". The cinematic and emotional quality of its songs led to their extensive use in various media, including films, trailers, commercials, and TV shows. The album is often praised for its unique sound that has remained fresh and inspirational years after its release
