Pearl Jam

Vs. (pronounced "versus") is the second studio album by the American rock band Pearl Jam, released in October 1993. It followed the massive success of their debut album, Ten, and showcased a rawer, more aggressive sound.

Compared to the more polished sound of Ten, Vs. captured a more direct, spontaneous feel. The band purposefully took a step back from heavy promotion, declining to release music videos for its singles, to avoid the intense media scrutiny that came with their debut.
