Toys in the Attic, Aerosmith's third studio album, was released on April 8, 1975. The album propelled the band to mainstream success with hit singles like "Sweet Emotion" and "Walk This Way". It remains Aerosmith's most commercially successful studio album in the United States and was recognized in 2003 on Rolling Stone's list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time".

Toys in the Attic reached No. 11 on the US Billboard 200 and has achieved 9x platinum status in the US. It is noted for establishing Aerosmith's distinctive sound. Both the title track and "Walk This Way" are included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's list of "500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll". The album gained renewed popularity in 1986 following Run-DMC's cover of "Walk This Way".
