Kill 'Em All is the groundbreaking debut studio album by the American heavy metal band Metallica, released on July 25, 1983. It is widely credited as the "true birth of thrash metal," fusing the high-velocity energy of Motörhead and hardcore punk with the intricate riffing of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM).
