Chappell Roan's "The Subway / The Giver" is a double-sided single that brings together two of her most anticipated live-debuted tracks into one physical and digital release.

Initially performed during her 2024 tour, the songs received their official studio release through Island Records. A limited-edition 7-inch vinyl was a highlight of Record Store Day Black Friday 2025.

"The Subway" (A-Side): A melancholic synth-pop ballad described as an anthem for heartbreak and loss. Roan has noted its stylistic connection to her earlier track "Casual".

"The Giver" (B-Side): A high-energy track that blends camp aesthetics with country influences. Upon its debut, it became Roan's first entry on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, reaching No. 1.
