Limp Bizkit
Significant Other
Significant Other is the second studio album by the American nu metal band Limp Bizkit, released on June 22, 1999. The album marked a significant commercial breakthrough for the band, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and going on to sell more than 16 million copies worldwide.
The album was produced by Terry Date, who was known for his work with notable metal bands like Pantera and Deftones.
The band worked to expand their sound from their 1997 debut, Three Dollar Bill, Y'all. Significant Other incorporated more distinct elements of metal and hip-hop, resulting in a more melodic style less influenced by hardcore punk. The album also notably features a variety of guest vocalists.
