The MTV Amp compilations are a series of two albums released in the late 1990s that feature electronic music from the MTV program Amp. The late-night TV series, which ran from 1996 to 2001, showcased techno, drum and bass, trip-hop, and other electronic music subgenres.
The first compilation album highlighted the electronica landscape of the mid-90s with tracks from prominent artists.
The album includes tracks such as "Block Rockin' Beats" by The Chemical Brothers, "Atom Bomb" by Fluke, and "Pearl's Girl" by Underworld. Other featured artists include The Future Sound of London, Photek, Aphex Twin, Orbital, Tranquility Bass, and Goldie. The compilation also features a Chemical Brothers remix of "Voodoo People" by The Prodigy, "Are You There?" by Josh Wink, "Busy Child" by The Crystal Method, and "Sick To Death" by Atari Teenage Riot.
