Loose is the third studio album by Canadian singer Nelly Furtado, released in June 2006. It marked a major creative and commercial reinvention for the artist, moving from her previous folk-pop style to a more pop, hip-hop, and R&B-influenced sound.
The bulk of the album was produced by Timbaland and his protégé Danja. Furtado co-produced and wrote some tracks, alongside other contributors.
The recording sessions involved Furtado and Timbaland drawing inspiration from a range of musical styles, including hip-hop, reggaeton, and new wave.
