1x CD Album Enhanced

Release date: Jan 1, 1997, Canada

Freak Show is the second studio album by the Australian rock band Silverchair, released in 1997. Recorded when the band members were just 17 years old, it was the follow-up to their successful debut album, Frogstomp. The album showcases a harder and darker rock sound than their previous work.

Release date: February 4, 1997.

The album was produced by Nick Launay, who also worked with bands like Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and Midnight Oil.

Freak Show is often characterized as a post-grunge album. Critics noted that it was more versatile and featured some experimentation that foreshadowed the band's later, more orchestral sound. The album's lyrics touch on the anger and anxiety the band felt from the pressures and expectations that came with their sudden fame
