The Turn of a Friendly Card" is the fifth studio album by the British rock duo The Alan Parsons Project, released in November 1980. It is a concept album centered on the themes of gambling, fate, and the allure of chance.
The album spawned several hit singles, including "Games People Play" and "Time". The title track itself is a 16-minute suite broken into five parts on the LP's second side and tells the story of a middle-aged man who goes to a casino and loses everything.
