Blackbird
Blackbird
The second eponymous album by the American rock band Blackbird, released in 1989 on Iloki Records. The catalog number for the LP version is IL 1010.
The band Blackbird was formed by brothers Chip and Tony Kinman, known for their previous work in the punk band The Dils and the alt-country band Rank and File. This second album, often distinguished by its black cover with a pink lizard graphic, leans more toward melody and includes a cover of the Lou Reed song "What Goes On".
A compilation album was later released on the Fundamental label in 1990 that compiled tracks from both of the Kinman brothers' Iloki Records releases (IL 1009 and IL 1010).
