Gérard Krémer is a French producer and sound engineer known for his extensive field recordings of world music. His work on La Cornemuse Écossaise et "The Edinburgh Military Tattoo" captures the quintessential sounds of Scottish traditional music and military ceremony.
This album, also released under the English title The Scottish Bagpipe and The Edinburgh Military Tattoo, was primarily recorded by Krémer and released by the Arion label in 1974.
