The Luyas
Too Beautiful To Work
Too Beautiful To Work is the sophomore studio album by the Montreal-based indie rock band The Luyas, released on February 22, 2011. It marked the band's debut on the Dead Oceans record label.
The album features unique instrumentation, including the Moodswinger (a 12-string zither) played by lead singer Jessie Stein, as well as French horns, guitars, and keys.
The record includes guest appearances from notable musicians such as Owen Pallett, Colin Stetson, and Sarah Neufeld of Arcade Fire.
It was recorded at 6 Nassau in Toronto and produced by Jeff McMurrich.
