House Of Pain
Same As It Ever Was
Same as It Ever Was is the second studio album by the American hip-hop trio House of Pain, released on June 28, 1994. The album was recorded while Everlast was under house arrest for a gun charge.
The album's dark, gritty, and hard-hitting sound is a departure from the more party-oriented style of their debut, House of Pain (Fine Malt Lyrics).
Production is primarily handled by DJ Muggs of Cypress Hill, who also produced the group's massive hit "Jump Around," along with contributions from House of Pain's own DJ Lethal, and hip-hop legend Diamond D.
Everlast's vocal delivery on the album is notably gruffer and more intense.
