The Teardrop Explodes
Wilder
Wilder is the second and final completed studio album by the neo-psychedelic Liverpool band The Teardrop Explodes, released on November 23, 1981.
Led by frontman Julian Cope, who took sole songwriting credit for every track on this album.
Genre & Style: The album is characterized by a shift toward a darker, more experimental post-punk and neo-psychedelic sound compared to their debut, Kilimanjaro. It features a heavy use of synthesizers and horns, often creating a more "downbeat and troubled" atmosphere.
